DamperGerm, to most people, would be known as an art page, a studio, a production house, a collective of talented underground artists. To the Germ Legion, however, DamperGerm is a movement, a cult, a circle, a state of mind. To support the Germ Legion is to back the talented minds of underground artists that society, the mainstream, and pop culture will typically turn a blind eye to. In a world where artists are losing their jobs to robots and writers, actors, artists and animators are getting shit on by mainstream corporations using simple-minded artificial intelligence to write their scripts, we advocate for power back to the independent artists. To every filmmaker whose captivating movie went under the radar because Universal or Paramount didn’t back it. To every talented musician whose been struggling to keep a crowd in grimy dive bars. To every skillful visual artist desperately trying to sell their masterpiece. You get the gist. Founded by filmmaker and musician Granton Austin when he was only 16, DamperGerm aims to take these works of art from various talented minds and shove it right into your face.
